Cover the Uninsured Week 2009

KidsCare Phonation

Volunteers Needed

Carondelet Health Network and the Covering Kids Coalition, in conjunction with KOLD-TV Channel 13 in Tucson, will hold a day-long phonathon on March 24, 2009 to promote KidsCare, a state-sponsored healthcare program that provides medical, dental and vision coverage to eligible Arizona children ages 18 and younger.

Volunteers are needed to staff a number of shifts throughout the day to answer phones and ask for basic contact information from callers who wish to participate in or learn more about KidsCare. Callers will receive a follow-up call at a later date to answer more detailed questions or help with enrollment. The phonathon will be held at KOLD- TV, 7831 N. Business Park Drive from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. To volunteer, send your name, organization, contact information and available times to Penelope Jacks, director, Children’s Action Alliance Southern Arizona, pjacks@caa.tuccoxmail.com .

All volunteers will be given the necessary training on April 17th at the Carondelet Foundation, 120 N. Tucson Blvd.  There will be two training sessions:  7 – 8 am and 12 -1 pm.  Food and beverages will be provided.  Please indicate whether you will attend the morning or afternoon training session.
